Instrumentation Engineer

What will your activities be?

  • Preparation of instrumentation engineering deliverables, based on final customer Oil & Gas project specifications, including instrumentation procurement specifications, Instrument Datasheets, field wiring diagram, electric and primary hook-ups drawings.
  • Carryout preliminary sizing calculations for Control and safety Valves.
  • Provide inputs and review of engineering drawings including instrument installation Details, Electric / Pneumatic Hook-Ups, Interconnection wiring diagrams.
  • Review instrumentation vendors offers, prepare vendor technical clarifications and prepare technical bid evaluation reports.
  • Attend interface meetings with client for technical support and scope of work progress updating.

Requirements:

  • Solid interpersonal and communication, oral and written, skills.
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement. Ability in prioritizing, organizing work, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks; self-motivated and flexible to work well under tight schedules in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Good oral and written English skills able to produce fluent documents, reports, and technical notes.
  • General knowledge of rotating machinery such as steam turbines, centrifugal compressor and electric generators.
  • General knowledge of rotating machinery and auxiliary systems operation and controls systems in the Oil & Gas projects.
  • General knowledge of other technical disciplines with specific capability to read, interpret and understand mechanical (P&ID and piping lines specification) and electrical documentation.
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Experience using Word and Excel applications.
  • Experience using AVEVA instrumentation application.
  • 2 years of experience in detailed engineering and design of Instrumentation for Oil & Gas projects.
  • familiar with relevant international codes, standards and recommended practices such as API, IEC, NEC, ISA, etc.
  • Degree in Electrical or Electronics discipline.
