Responsibilities:
- Visual and dimensional inspection of piping and welded steelwork
- Visual inspection of welds with issuance of certification
- Quality control of piping and carpentry supplies at suppliers’ premises
- Management CND welds performed by inspection companies
- Hydraulic test management and assistance
- Preparation of certificates documentation for quality testing
- Preparation welding book including maps, WPS. PQR, WPQ
- Preparation of PED technical files
- Updating weldlog welds and material traceability and controls
- Management of customer attended tests, Inail inspectors, No.bo
Required skills:
- Technical diploma
- Good knowledge of English language
- Thorough knowledge of technical drawing
- Experience in reading isometrics and P&Id
- Thorough knowledge of welding, defectology, processes and controls
- Knowledge of welding codes AWS D1.1 / ASME IX / ISO15614-1
- Experience in Welding book processing, including WPS, PQR, WPQ and joint maps
- Knowledge of PED directives/regulations / machinery directive / EN1090 / ISO3834
- Experience in visual and dimensional inspection of piping and welded steelwork
- Knowledge of painting and hot dip galvanizing surface treatments, defectology, processes and controls
- Experience in processing PED Technical Files, including weld traceability / materials / CNDs / hydraulic/pneumatic testing
Preferential qualifications represent:
- Valid ISO9712 and/or ASNT level II visual weld inspector qualification
- Valid ISO9712 and/or ASNT level II magnetic particle and/or liquid penetrant inspector qualification
- Welding inspector IWT/EWT or Welding Specialist IWS/EWS or welding Engineer IWE/EWE qualification valid
